Warranty policy

What's covered, for how long, and what we need from you to sort it out fast. Real carbon fibre, plainly explained — including the parts that aren't a defect.

Last updated 22 August 2026

1 · What's covered

This warranty covers manufacturing defects — problems that came from how the part was made, not from how it was used. In practice that's things like:

  • A carbon shell that's cracked, warped, or delaminating out of the box
  • Adhesive that fails to bond when the surface was prepped and applied correctly
  • A mismatched pair — left and right that clearly aren't the same finish or batch
  • A finish that doesn't match what you ordered — matte shipped as gloss, or the reverse

If it's a genuine defect, we'll replace the part. If we can't replace it, we'll refund it. No restocking fee, no return-shipping cost to you — that part's on us.

2 · How long

Manufacturing defects are covered for 12 months from the date you receive your order. Fitment and finish issues you notice before installing are best handled under our 30-day return window instead — it's faster, and doesn't require us to determine whether something is a defect.

3 · What's not covered

  • Normal wear — light surface scuffing, minor fading from long-term UV exposure
  • Damage from an accident, collision, car wash equipment, or a jet wash held too close
  • Damage from an installation attempt that didn't follow the fitting guidance we send
  • Parts that have been cut, painted, wrapped, or otherwise modified after purchase
  • Parts bought secondhand or from anyone other than TERVELIO or an authorised reseller

4 · A note on real carbon fibre

We use real carbon fibre, not a printed vinyl pattern — which means the weave has natural, slight variation from piece to piece, the same way real wood grain or leather does. A subtle difference in weave direction or resin depth between your two covers is normal and isn't a defect on its own.

If you're unsure whether what you're looking at is normal variation or an actual fault, send a photo before you decide — it's a two-minute check for us and saves you guessing.

5 · How to make a claim

  • Email us with your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photos — a short video too, if the problem only shows up in motion or under certain light.
  • Don't attempt a repair yourself before we've seen it. It won't void a genuine claim, but it can make the defect harder for us to confirm.
  • Hold onto the part until we confirm next steps — we may ask for it back, or we may not, depending on the issue.

6 · What happens next

We review claims and reply, usually within two working days of receiving your photos. If we need the part back, we'll send instructions and cover return shipping — you shouldn't be out of pocket for a defect that isn't your fault.

Once confirmed, we'll send a replacement from the next available batch or process a refund, whichever gets you sorted faster.

7 · Installed parts

Installing the part doesn't affect a genuine warranty claim. This is different from our return policy, where installed parts can't come back for a change of mind — a manufacturing defect is covered whether you catch it before or after fitting.

Which is still why we'd rather confirm fitment before you buy, where we can — send a fitment check →

8 · International orders

The same coverage applies wherever you're shipping to. For a confirmed defect, we'll cover return shipping to us. Where sending the part back isn't practical, a photo review is often enough to approve a replacement or refund without needing it returned at all — we'll tell you which applies to your claim.

9 · Your statutory rights

This warranty sits on top of, and doesn't replace, whatever consumer protection rights you already have under the law where you live. If something in this policy is narrower than what local law guarantees you, local law wins.

Warranty questions

My carbon weave doesn't look identical on both sides. Is that a defect?

Usually not — real carbon fibre has natural weave variation piece to piece. Send a photo if you're unsure; it's a fast check on our end.

I installed it and then found the fault. Am I still covered?

Yes. A manufacturing defect is covered whether it's spotted before or after fitting — installation only affects our change-of-mind return window, not a warranty claim.

Do I need to send the part back to get a replacement?

Sometimes, sometimes not — a lot of defects are clear enough from photos alone. We'll tell you which applies once we've reviewed your claim.

What if my warranty claim is declined?

We'll explain exactly why, referencing what isn't covered under section 3. If you disagree, reply with more detail or photos — we're happy to take another look.
